Hello, we’re so excited to be Kmart Playdate Parents so we first wanted to start off by introducing ourselves. We are Lamar and Ronnie Tyler, parents of 4 kids ages 17, 9, 4 and 3. Together, we created the award-winning website Black and Married With Kids.com which promotes healthy marriages and families. Since starting the blog in 2007 our site has grown beyond our belief and with no previous experience we started creating documentaries around the topics of marriage and parenting as an extension of the site.
As the parents of 3 small children we know that small kids wake up with one thing on their minds, playing…it is their life’s purpose. Therefore with 3 small girls, we are always in need of new activities to satisfy their need to play. While shopping last week for groceries and household supplies, we loaded up on gallons of bubbles, new balls, fresh jumps ropes, and one additional hula-hoop. Yes, those are old fashioned toys, but they are a must have for our 3 girls and any of their friends that may come to our home to play.
This is why we’re excited about partnering with K-Mart and participating as official K-Mart Playdate Parents. We are looking forward to using the K-mart Playdate Place website to obtain tips on planning successful playdates for our kids and we are also excited about being able to share our playdate experiences with you on a weekly basis.
